Answer: Polyimide Film is an HN Grade Insulation Film developed by Dupont in 1960s. Their popular brand name is called Kapton, worldwide everybody will know it as Kapton, the base material is polyimide. Polyimide film has a lot of applications / uses, it is in Golden Amber color and It can withstand temperature upto 350 – 400 degrees, it can even go upto -200 deg. Polyimide films are available from 1 mil to 10 mil in different thickness and in standard width of 500 to 900 mm.

Answer: Polyimide Film has a lot of applications, especially in the Electrical Industry it has a good Insulation property due to which it is used in the coils of transformers, motors, heaters, wires, cables etc. It is also highly used in the PCB Industry. Polyimide films are available form 1 mil to 10 mil in different thickness and in standard width of 500 to 900 mm.
