Answer: Household Cables are mostly made of PVC which can usually withstand up to 50 to 60 deg C. They are usually enough for household as they are concealed in wall with the bricks and mortar. When it comes to Industrial Cables, they require quite a high temperature, we make cables which can withstand up to 1000 degree C. you can use them in Heaters, Furnaces, Protection of Electrical Equipment and many Industrial applications.

Answer: We need to understand the application for which you are using a fireproof cable. If you require the same for your home safety, then I would suggest you go for a branded cable. I would also suggest you use a higher gauge cable. Also, use MCB and circuit breakers at home. This will reduce the chances of fire due to the short circuit. We specialize in Industrial use Fire Proof Cable. These are used where the temperature could reach 1000 degrees centigrade.

To understand the right cable for your needs, you need to answer 2 questions, What is the application? and most important, what is the temperature range? Let’s talk about applications. Now let’s understand the temperature range. If your temperature range is 50°C, you can use a house cable.

Say your temperature range is -50 to +180°C, you can use a Silicone Rubber Cable.

If your temperature range is -100 to 260°C, you should use a PTFE Cable.

Anything ranging from 300°C to 1000°C, you will have to go for a High-Temperature Silica Cable.
